In solid colours, Gildan confirms the fabric is 100% ring-spun cotton, giving a smoother, softer feel than a basic open-end cotton promotional T-shirt.

At approximately 150gsm (Gildan's US spec lists it as 4.5 oz/yd², which converts to roughly 153gsm), this is a relatively lightweight tee rather than a thick, heavyweight workwear shirt. It's finished with a crew neck, taped neck and shoulders for comfort and durability, and a tear-away label.

Gildan describes the 64000 as having a Modern Classic Fit - an everyday unisex cut that isn't overly fitted or oversized, making it a sensible choice as a broad-appeal merchandise garment.

Note that the 100% cotton specification applies specifically to solid colours - Gildan's Sport Grey and Antique Heathers are 90% cotton/10% polyester, and Heather colours are 65% polyester/35% cotton.
