Overview
Overview
The Asari Multicolor Sabiki is a ready-tied five-hook sea fishing rig built to attract shoaling species with its eye-catching multicoloured lure dressing. Each rig carries five dressed hooks, letting anglers present multiple lures through the water column in a single drop.
The range is available in hook sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8, with mainline and snood diameters matched to each size for a tailored presentation. The size 8 version (BEM58) uses a 0.35mm mainline paired with 0.30mm snoods, giving a finer presentation than the larger hook sizes in the range.
Perfect For
This sabiki rig is well suited to boat, pier and shore sea fishing where mackerel, scad and other shoaling species are the target. The ready-tied five-hook design means anglers can get fishing quickly without needing to tie their own feathers or sabiki traces.
The multicoloured lure dressing is designed to draw attention from mackerel and scad shoals, making it a practical pick for anglers working these species from a variety of marks.
Technical Insight
Working the rig through the water with controlled lifts, pauses or retrieves lets each of the five hooks sit at a different depth, helping locate where a shoal is holding. The size-specific mainline and snood diameters, such as the 0.35mm mainline and 0.30mm snoods on the size 8 BEM58, are matched to the hook size to give anglers a presentation suited to the species and conditions they're targeting.
