Each hook features a Razor Point for sharp, effective penetration, and is finished in black nickel. The range runs from size 6 through to 8/0, with packets containing 10 hooks for every size except 8/0, which contains 8 hooks.

Perfect For

The smaller Tamerz sizes — 6, 4, 2 and 1 — are intended for targeting smaller species while still retaining enough strength to cope with an unexpected larger fish, with smoothhound, ray and bass all mentioned as suitable catches. This makes the smaller sizes a versatile choice rather than a hook reserved purely for big-fish work.

The larger /0 sizes were originally developed as INOVA's big-fish hook, documented for use on huss, conger, cod and common skate, including very large skate. Current retailer guidance also lists tope, spurdog, cod and big bass as suitable applications for the larger hooks, and the design is well suited to big-fish baits.
