Overview

Arno-Hooks Arno-Stops are sliding bait stops built for sea anglers who want a neater, more secure way to hold bait on the hook snood. Rather than sitting fully exposed above the bait like a conventional stop, the tapered design allows the majority of the Arno-Stop to sit inside the bait itself.

This concealed shape creates a cleaner, more compact terminal presentation while still providing the mechanical stop needed to prevent bait travelling up the snood during casting or once the rig is on the seabed. Each stop grips the snood tightly, yet remains adjustable so it can be repositioned for different bait sizes.

Every pack contains 20 stops, pre-loaded onto wire loops for easy fitting. The hooklength is simply passed through the loading loop and the stop transferred onto the snood, making rig building quick even when tying up several rigs at once.

Perfect For

Arno-Stops are particularly useful for long worm presentations, such as lugworm, ragworm or combinations of worm and other baits, where soft or elongated bait has a tendency to creep up the snood during the cast or in the tide. They're also suited to smaller strips or sections of fish bait, and are specifically listed as suitable for crab baits.

Technical Insight

The tapered, concealed design is what separates Arno-Stops from a standard round bait stop. By allowing most of the component to sit inside the bait rather than remaining visibly exposed, it reduces bulk on the snood while still delivering a firm physical stop against bait movement.
