Gemini Snood Clips

Overview

The Gemini Genie Snood Clips (G3022) are quick-change hooklength connectors built for sea-fishing rig making, designed to let anglers remove and replace hook snoods without disturbing the rest of the rig. Measuring approximately 18mm in length and manufactured from 0.8mm heat-treated stainless-steel wire, they're a smaller, lighter-gauge relation of Gemini's standard Link Clip.

Sold in packs of 10, each clip sits neatly within the terminal connection rather than adding bulk to the snood. Rather than tying a hook snood permanently to the rig body's swivel, anglers incorporate a Snood Clip so the hooklength becomes a detachable component.

This means a single rig body can be paired with a whole range of pre-tied snoods carrying different hook sizes or Pennel arrangements, simply by unclipping one snood and clipping on another.

Perfect For

These clips are particularly suited to clipped-down sea rigs and multi-hook flapper rigs, where individual hooklengths often need swapping mid-session. If a hook point turns blunt, bends, or a snood becomes abraded or tangled after fishing over rocks or rough ground, the affected snood can be unclipped and replaced without discarding the whole rig.

They also work well for anglers who pre-tie a selection of hooklengths - from light snoods with small hooks up to heavier snoods or Pennel rigs for larger baits - and want to fit the appropriate one to the rig body on the day. The heat-treated stainless-steel construction allows Gemini to keep the clip small and light while retaining useful strength for hooklength duty, and stainless steel gives the corrosion resistance expected of terminal tackle used regularly in saltwater. At 0.8mm wire diameter and roughly 18mm long, the Snood Clip is noticeably finer than Gemini's standard Link Clip, reflecting its role connecting snoods rather than the heavier rig-to-leader or rig-to-sinker connections.

Detachable snoods also bring a practical storage benefit: rig bodies and hook snoods can be stored separately rather than wound together on a rig winder, reducing the problem of long hooklengths tangling around the main rig body.
