INOVA Pop Up Floating Beads 10mm

Overview

The INOVA Pop Up Floating Beads are round, ultra-buoyant sea-fishing attractor beads made to add lift and movement to a hookbait presentation. They're threaded onto the snood above the hook, where their buoyancy raises the bait clear of the seabed rather than leaving it lying flat.

The 10mm pop up beads each come supplied with 10 beads per pack. Colours are White, Yellow and Orange, described by retailers as bright and fluorescent, giving the bead a dual role as both a floatation aid and a visual attractor close to the bait.

It's worth noting this is the standard Pop Up Bead only — not the Glow, Mega, Grip Stop or Flexi versions, which are separate INOVA products with their own specifications.

Perfect For

These beads are built for sea-fishing bait rigs where an angler wants the hookbait to sit up off the bottom rather than lying flat. Adding one or two beads to the snood lets the bait waft more naturally in the tide, helping present it to fish feeding above the seabed.

They're also useful where bottom-dwelling crabs are a nuisance, as lifting the bait away from the seabed can make it harder for crabs to reach it straight away. The number and size of beads used can be adjusted depending on the bait, hook and snood length, giving flexibility for flapper, paternoster, single-hook, pulley and scratching-style rigs.

Technical Insight

The round shape and buoyant construction work together to lift the hookbait and encourage it to move more freely in the current rather than sitting inert on the bottom. Using one or two beads adds gentle lift and movement, while adding more beads increases the amount of pop-up effect for a more pronounced presentation.

Positioned on the snood immediately above the hook rather than on the rig body, the beads are a functional part of the bait presentation rather than a decorative rig-building component. The bright White, Yellow and Orange colours add a visible target alongside the buoyancy, so the bead is working both mechanically and visually at the same time.
