Saltwater Pro Assorted Slasher6 hook - Size 2

Overview

Overview

The Saltwater Pro Assorted Slasher 6 Hook Rig is a ready-tied artificial sea fishing lure rig from Dennett Outdoor, featuring six dressed hooks in an assorted presentation along a single trace.

Rather than tying six individual droppers and lure dressings by hand, anglers get a complete rig straight from the packet, ready to attach to the mainline and fish. The assorted dressing gives a mixed, multi-coloured presentation rather than the single-colour look of traditional feather rigs.

It's designed as a practical, grab-and-go alternative to conventional mackerel feathers, letting anglers swap in a fresh rig quickly when fish are feeding.

Perfect For

Multi-hook artificial lure rigs like the Slasher are commonly used when targeting schooling sea fish, with mackerel being a typical target species. The six-hook spread along the trace means several lure presentations are in the water at once, which is useful when searching through different depths for feeding fish.

The rig can be worked vertically with controlled lifts and drops, or retrieved steadily through the water depending on location and conditions — making it a versatile option for appropriate shore, pier and boat fishing sessions.

Technical Insight

The six-hook Slasher configuration spreads dressed hooks along the trace, allowing anglers to present multiple artificial lures simultaneously rather than relying on a single bait or feather. This is particularly handy when fish are shoaling at varying depths, as it increases the chance of a take at any given point in the retrieve.

The assorted dressing style sets this rig apart from single-colour feather patterns, giving a mixed visual presentation that can be a useful alternative when fish are being selective. As a ready-tied product, it also removes the time and hassle of constructing six separate hook droppers by hand, making it a convenient spare to keep in the tackle box.
