Overview
Overview
The Saltwater Pro Red Sparkle 5 Hook Rig is a pre-tied multi-hook sea fishing lure rig from Dennett Outdoor, part of the wider Saltwater Pro sea fishing range. It features five dressed hooks arranged along a ready-tied trace, each finished in a red sparkle-style dressing for a distinctive artificial lure presentation.
As a ready-tied rig, it removes the need for anglers to tie individual droppers or attach separate lure bodies, saving preparation time at the water's edge. It's designed as an alternative to conventional mackerel feathers, giving anglers another way to present multiple artificial lures on a single trace.
Perfect For
This rig suits anglers working artificial lures through the water from boats, piers, or suitable shore marks. Anglers targeting schooling fish such as mackerel may find the five-hook presentation useful when fish are feeding on small prey, since it allows several lures to be fished simultaneously.
It can be fished with controlled lifts and drops or a suitable retrieve, depending on location, tackle and conditions, making it a versatile option for sea anglers experimenting with different lure colours and presentations.
Technical Insight
The red sparkle dressings are designed to create visual flashes and movement as the rig moves through the water, which may help draw the attention of feeding sea fish. Running five dressed hooks along one ready-tied trace means anglers can present a spread of lures without the extra rigging time that comes with building individual droppers.
Because it's pre-tied, the rig is also convenient to carry as a ready spare, letting anglers switch quickly if a trace is lost or they want to try a different colour.

Is R320 the red or green Sparkle rig?
R320 is the Red Sparkle version of the Saltwater Pro five-hook rig. The green version is coded R319, while the Blue Sparkle variant is R318.
What size hooks are fitted to the R320?
The hook size specifically used on the R320 hasn't been confirmed. The Blue Sparkle R318 is listed with size 2 hooks by one retailer, but that specification shouldn't be assumed to apply to the red version.
Does the Saltwater Pro Red Sparkle rig glow in the dark?
This isn't confirmed. A sparkle or reflective dressing doesn't necessarily mean the rig is luminous, so anglers shouldn't assume it has glow-in-the-dark properties.
Can the Saltwater Pro Red Sparkle 5 Hook Rig be used to catch mackerel?
Yes, it's a five-hook artificial lure rig that can be considered when targeting schooling sea fish such as mackerel, offering an alternative to traditional feather rigs, though no manufacturer-specific target-species statement has been confirmed for R320.
