Saltwater Pro Hokkai Feathers3 Hook - Size 4/0

Overview

Overview

Saltwater Pro Hokkai Feathers are ready-tied, three-hook sea fishing rigs from Dennett Outdoor, designed to give boat anglers an instant multi-hook feather presentation. Each rig carries three size 4/0 hooks dressed in Hokkai-style feathers, creating several artificial bait presentations on a single trace.

Supplied pre-tied, these rigs remove the need to assemble individual hook snoods and feather dressings before a trip. They're available in three colourways - Pink, Blue and Black - so anglers can match the rig to their preferred visual profile while keeping the same proven three-hook 4/0 format.

Perfect For

These Hokkai feathers are built for vertical jigging from a boat, worked over reefs, wrecks and other marks where predatory fish feed on bait shoals. A specialist retailer specifically recommends the Pink 4/0 Hokkai rig for targeting pollack and codling, making these a solid choice for anglers heading out after those species.

The rigs are worked with controlled lifts and drops, letting the movement of the trace animate the feather dressings and attract fish. While they're primarily intended for boat use, anglers could consider them for shore fishing only where the overall rig, casting weight and tackle set-up are appropriate - Dennett hasn't published a shore-casting recommendation for this standard range.

Technical Insight

Each rig is built around three size 4/0 hooks, larger than typical small mackerel feather hooks, giving a bigger presentation suited to targeting larger predatory species rather than small bait fish. The three-hook layout lets anglers present multiple feather lures simultaneously from one rig, rather than tying individual droppers by hand.

Because the Hokkai dressings and hooks are ready-tied by Dennett Outdoor, each rig keeps a consistent three-hook 4/0 format across all three colourways, so swapping between Pink, Blue and Black doesn't change the way the rig fishes - only its visual presentation in the water.
