Saltwater Pro Jumbo Hokkai3 Hook - Size 7/0

Overview

Overview

The Saltwater Pro Jumbo Hokkai Feathers are ready-tied sea fishing lure rigs from Dennett Outdoor, each built around three large size 7/0 hooks dressed in Hokkai-style feather lures. The rig arrives pre-tied, so there's no need to construct individual feather droppers and hook snoods before heading out on the boat.

The larger 7/0 hook size sets the Jumbo range apart from Saltwater Pro's standard Hokkai rigs, which use smaller 4/0 hooks, giving anglers a bigger-hook option for bigger offshore predators. The range is supplied in several colour finishes, including Pink, Blue, Black, Red, Black & Red and Lime, giving a choice of bright, dark and contrasting feather presentations.

Perfect For

These Jumbo Hokkai rigs are particularly suited to vertical boat fishing, where they can be lowered and worked around wrecks, reefs and other offshore marks. Dennett identifies pollack and codling as the target species for the Jumbo Hokkai range, making it a natural choice for anglers jigging over structure from a boat.

The ready-tied three-hook format also makes the rigs handy to keep as spares aboard, allowing quick changes of colour or presentation without re-rigging mid-session.

Technical Insight

The dressed feather hooks are designed to create movement and visual attraction as the rig is worked through the water column, typically fished with controlled lifts and drops to vary the presentation until fish respond. The larger 7/0 hook pattern distinguishes the Jumbo range from the standard Saltwater Pro Hokkai feathers and gives a bulkier silhouette suited to bigger predatory species.

Being pre-tied as a complete three-hook rig removes the time and hassle of tying individual snoods and droppers, so anglers can get fishing faster and keep multiple colour options ready to swap between marks or conditions.
