Penn Fierce IV Live Liner

Overview

The PENN Fierce IV Live Liner is a saltwater fixed-spool spinning reel that adds PENN's adjustable Live Liner secondary drag system to the rugged Fierce IV platform. It's available in four sizes — 2500LL, 4000LL, 6000LL and 8000LL — sharing the same gear ratios, maximum drag ratings and line capacities as the standard Fierce IV models, with the Live Liner function as the defining addition.

Construction centres on a Full Metal Body and sideplates, giving the drivetrain a rigid, flex-resistant foundation. This is backed by PENN's proven HT-100 carbon-fibre main drag, a 4+1 bearing system (4 sealed stainless-steel ball bearings plus an Instant Anti-Reverse bearing), right/left interchangeable retrieve, a Superline Spool for braid, and Line Capacity Rings for a quick visual check of remaining line.

Maximum drag climbs significantly through the range, from 5.4kg/12lb on the compact 2500LL up to 13.6kg/30lb on the heavyweight 8000LL, with gear ratios stepping down from a fast 6.2:1 on the smaller reels to a more powerful 5.3:1 on the 8000LL.
