Sunset Amnesia Memory Free Monofilament in Green is a low-memory monofilament line purpose-built for sea-fishing rig construction, hook snoods and traces.

It is engineered to resist tangling and coiling, and if a snood does become twisted, the line can simply be given a firm stretch to help it return to a straight presentation.

Backed by good knot strength and abrasion resistance, Amnesia Green suits both shore and boat rig-building where reliability under repeated casting and fish contact matters.

Perfect For

Amnesia Green is ideal for tying flapper rigs, clipped rigs, scratching rigs, flatfish rigs and paternosters for UK shore and boat sea fishing.

Lighter breaking strains from 6lb to 15lb suit light snoods, scratching for smaller species and specialist applications, while 20lb to 30lb covers general-purpose and stronger shore snoods.

Because Green is only produced up to 30lb, anglers needing heavier Amnesia line for rig bodies or heavy traces beyond this range would look to the Clear or Black versions, which extend to 40lb, 50lb and 60lb.

Technical Insight

The defining trait of Amnesia is its very low, memory-free behaviour, meaning the line resists holding coils or kinks that can plague snood construction with ordinary monofilament.

This tangle resistance, combined with good knot strength and abrasion resistance, makes it dependable for repeated rig tying and use in demanding sea conditions.
